Stormworks Bio

With his finger on the pulse of the digital world, Todd Kuipers has much experience actively participating in the evolution of the Internet and new media.

With over 16 years of information systems experience, Todd has implemented well over 100 Internet projects, many of which have been quoted in various books, magazines and newspapers. Easily conversant in modern technology and design, his experience in media and technology encompasses business strategy, information architecture, process optimization, user experience design, and viability audits. Todd adds to this experience a degree in Economics and Business from University of Calgary.

A determination that there was a opportunity to deliver business based solutions as opposed to random, works-of-Web-art led Todd to contribute to, and co-found Stormworks Inc. - a Canadian Internet commercialization company (www.stormworks.com). In his role as Chief Internet Strategist, he has developed the Stormworks Internet Business Strategy, and ensured alignment of Stormworks' solution offerings around that strategy.

Prior to Stormworks, Todd led the Web Development team at Merak Projects - a leading developer of petroleum valuation and tracking software. Before that, he worked with Kumo Software, an early venture into Internet business-solutions development and design. He has extensive experience in oil and gas in a wide variety of areas and continues to enhance his portfolio in that area.

Todd’s interest in “all things digital” extends into his free time as well. He currently maintains several personal websites, related to – amongst other things - social issues, music and beer.
