Europe - Trip 1

Day 2 - January 09, 2002

We caught the train to Clapham in South London where Sue's cousin (Harriet the recently promoted auditor with E&Y London) lives. She was "working at home" for the day and nicely picked us up at the station and brought us back to her place. Todd's first suggestion was to go a for a beer - still 2 AM at home he thought - wasn't taken seriously. We wandered down the road after unloading - into a very nice, comfortable room - and had lunch at a little French place. The meal was pretty good; Todd did have a beer, and ignoring any BSE or Hoof and Mouth, a steak - Sue had something fishy.

Later that night Harriet took us out again and we headed to the Beeratorium(?) where they had a solid selection of imported beers including Duvel and many other Belgians. Off after that to a hip pizza place where the fare was obviously pizza and a barely passable bottle of the house red.
