Day 8 - January 15, 2002

Breakfast was interesting - again sharing the breakfast room with all the other non-existent people.

We headed along the north coast, skipping a stop in Holyhead, and taking a quick look at the suspension bridge and castle in Conwy. We gotta say that if you're at interested in castles and old towns and their plans a 2 week tour of the northern Welsh castles would be just about perfect.

We didn't stop anywhere else except for a quick lunch just north of Preston in Lancashire on our way to Grange-over-Sands on Morcambe Bay just on the western of of the Lake district in Cumbria.

Sue's Grandparents retired here about 35 years ago and the house is still family owned. We couldn't get the keys as the neighbors, Bill and Joyce, were not in - so again we headed down to the library to surf for porn. One hour later and Todd laden with groceries we headed back up the hill to the house and obtained the keys.

Almost everything inside had been renovated or rearranged since our last visit. The kitchen was quite hip with all new appliances and a fabulous polished slate counter-top (treated by Uncle Tom of course). Much of the changes were done at the instigation of Sue's cousin (Sarah), of whom you'll learn more later.

We unloaded everything, and spent the evening listening to Radio 4 and reading.
