Europe - Trip 3

Day 1 - January 26, 2002

We started very slowly this morning on another transfer day. We were heading to Ireland and had to be to at Stansted by 11 AM – our 10:30 start didn’t seem adequate. Harriet and Sarah accompanied us to Liverpool station (Matt back to Cambridge and his Masters studies) which helped as we didn’t have to pause to find the connections.

3 hours later we landed in Cork and through an excellent cabbie found a comfortable place to put up our feet. We headed out had dinner at a very very very strange pub run by a strange lady and left quickly after. We weren’t yet ready for more pints so decided to relax with another viewing of Lord of the Rings.

Back at the B&B we blew 2 hours sorting digital pictures and getting them ready for Web posting. A very exciting night – just like clubbing with great friends and phat DJ beats.

Tip: It's not good to go to Ireland and the home of Murphy's Irish Stout when you are momentarily not craving beer...
