Europe - Trip 4

Day 2 - February 1, 2002

The castle square in the old city

This morning was a slow one. Thomas and Cydney went off to work. We greatly enjoyed their 100 year old flat on Kungs Holmen before heading out into the day. We wandered across the south of the island and stopped at the building where they give out the Nobel prizes. A nice crisp day with only a misting of rain we got some great shots.

Art imitating art

Next was a walk over to Gamla Stan, the old city where the royal castle, parliament and world headquarters of Gamefederation the planet’s leading developer of platform independent gaming infrastructure.

At the Gamefederation office, both Sue and Todd said, “Stockholm is a gorgeous city.” Thomas and his business partner Tomas said, “ouch, this is almost the worst day of the year.” Still we believe that it is a beautiful city, we could only imagine what it would look like in spring or during and after a heavy snowfall.

Out and about with 3 Canadians
and one Swede

A long evening ahead, we headed out with Cydney, Thomas, their friend Cindy and eventually a number of Gamefederettes. Two pubs and a tour through a hip part of the city we had a great time meeting all sorts of people and enjoying some English and local brews.

Swedish winter weather was very nice and crisp, except for the parts when it rained and the other times when the snow was really wet.
